Our History

The success of an institution is not only measured by how long it has been operating but also by how well it has upheld its founding mission. On both these fronts, Tilaknagar Vidya Mandir School, Dombivli, has demonstrated unwavering commitment, particularly in running a Marathi medium school as outlined in its foundational objectives.

1955

Tilaknagar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (TSPM), a registered public trust, was founded by Late Shri V.L. Jape and other citizens of Dombivli on January 1, 1955

1993

Introduced computer education, making it one of the early adopters of digital learning in Marathi schools.

2004

Implemented a semi-English medium system starting in Grade 8.

2012

The institution expanded the semi-English system from Grade 1, built a modern facility with e-learning, security, insurance, digital records, and streamlined communication and administration.

2016

The institution plans to launch a full-day Panchakosha-based Gurukul school at its MIDC premises with Jnana Prabodhini, Pune, offering yoga, prayers, academics, self-study, hobbies, and sports.
